Course Description

You will learn how to develop your own Safety Management System from using 3 tools included in most office environments.  We will step through the process of building a form to collect data, a spreadsheet to store the data, and the automation to make it all work.  We will discuss use cases, common pitfalls, and use cases for different processes.

Examples of process that can be deployed include: building a learning management system (LMS), incident tracking, safety inspections, PPE request form, requests for training, if you have a paper form, you can automate it.

During the course we will use the online OSHA 300 log as an exercise by setting it up to store the data from being entered into a Microsoft Form.  These basic steps are the building blocks to other processes.  After this exercise is completed and students have the basic knowledge, we will illicit the next task from the class to build with the remaining time.

Access to Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Automate
