Course Description

This training program covers the Keene State College 10-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program and adapts the material for health care facility workers. It provides health and safety information specific to the health care industry for nurses, other frontline workers, managers, supervisors and others. In addition to OSHA policies and procedures, the  program addresses standards and guidelines associated with the most commonly noted  hazards and injuries and illness to workers. These include health and safety programs,  industrial hygiene, emergency action plans, electricity, bloodborne pathogens, respiratory protections, workplace violence prevention, occupational noise control, hazard communication, and formaldehyde and ethylene oxide.

* Participants receive the 10-hour General Industry DOL Card along with specialized training for health care employees
