NCSH-432 - Hazard Vulnerability Assessments for Health Care Facilities

Course Description

This course is designed for the health care professional responsible for completing and acting on the organizations Hazard Vulnerability Assessment. Using the most common health care templates, students will learn how to obtain relevant information to complete the assessment for natural, manmade, and technological disasters and to develop an action plan to reduce the risk from the most likely threats. They will also learn the process to mitigate potential hazards through assessing the risk/impact, probability, consequence, and organizational preparedness and capabilities. At the completion of this course students should have acquired sufficient information to manage the hazard vulnerability assessment for their organization to reduce potential impact.
