CC-1052 - 2025 Cohen Institute Student Trip to NYC
Course Description
Join the Cohen Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies for a day trip to New York City to visit the Tenement Museum and Anne Frank The Exhibition.
At the Tenement Museum, we will take the Finding Home tour, which features the Epstein and Saez Velez families in the 1950s and 1960s. The families shared a tenement building at 103 Orchard Street, and shared a changing Lower East Side, yet had very different experiences as Jewish Holocaust survivors and Puerto Rican migrants.
Anne Frank The Exhibition is a full-scale recreation of Anne Frank’s hiding place, for the first time outside of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. The exhibition incorporates more than 100 original collection items from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, including several never-before-exhibited artifacts. This experience is hosted for a limited time by the Center for Jewish History.
This day trip includes roundtrip van transportation as well as entrance fees to both sites. Bagged lunches from dining services will be provided.
Please let us know if any accommodation is needed so we can make the necessary arrangements.
